It must have started with Scooby Doo. I used to run home from my school bus stop so that I wouldn’t miss a single minute of my favorite cartoon. I would constantly mimic the classic Don Messick Scooby laugh and the banter between Shaggy and Scooby. It wasn’t until I was a teenager when my voice was deep enough to actually sound like Scooby, but that didn’t stop me from practicing. My parents had to restrict my watching of The Incredible Hulk, lest I turn into a mini-Lou Ferrigno and torment my older sister with the likes of “Hulk SMASH!” Good times, good times...
